Natracare Organic Cotton Maxi Pads are made from only certified organic 100% cotton and renewable and sustainable plant cellulose. In addition, they are totally plastic-free, and like all of Natracare products, are totally chlorine-free because we never use chlorine bleach in any of our production processes. Being plastic-free means Natracare does not contain any polyethylene, polypropylene or polyacrylate super absorbents, all of which can irritate the skin. The slim style of the Ultra pad is very discreet with the added security of wings. The absorbent core absorbs the menstrual fluid and locks it away so that the soft organic cotton cover allows your skin to breath whilst at the same time keeping you dry.

Q: Why does Natracare use wood pulp inside of the pads instead of cotton?

Above all, we use certified organic cotton for the top sheet of natracare pads. In another word, it sits next to intimate skin and is a soft natural cover, which helps wick away menstrual blood.

Fluff pulp from pine wood is 70% amorphous and 30% crystalline, which means very absorbent compared to an all kinds of cotton pad.
